Mahalo

Maui is natural and rugged. It's raw natural beauty is so dynamic and captivating. Saying goodbye to this paradise on earth is tough. I have never been able to think of Hawaii as simply a vacation place where one goes to get away from it all. There are so many ancient stories that you want to learn, so many islands you want to discover, so much positive energy you want to soak up and renew your body and spirit. My trip to Maui taught me more than just relaxation. I love everything here, an island with the happiest people and the highest well-being in the nation.

Hawaii, known for its welcoming spirit. Island life is a beautiful thing. I learned to stay calm and observe. My days here have been lived out with full potential, I saw rainbows above the horizon, bit into juice fruits freshly picked from a tree, and dove into clearest waters while beautiful marine life swam around me. I hung out on the colorful beaches, watched the sunrise as tropical birds chirping morning tunes, and stargazed each night sipping wine. Serenity has been a consistent theme throughout my trip, feeling a true balance from dusk to dawn.

Back home, I will not have papayas growing from my apartment's balcony, I will miss the unique fragrance of passion fruits, the ever-popular rainbow shave ice, sweet pineapples, the ease of island living, sunrises and sunsets. My energy and happiness were at all time high while exploring Maui, and I'm not letting it fade when I return home. Each second of the day is a gift, and Maui put me back on track with that mindset. My days back home are special and I need to be as thankful for the ones I have in reality, as the ones I had in Maui.

I own this place a big "Mahalo" as I leave with a heart full of new life and gratitude. Mahalo Maui. Maui Nō Ka ʻOi!

P.S. Is there a place in your heart that you are thankful for? Please share with me in the comments : )
